About Samsun
Samsun is the capital of the Turkish province of Samsun and the largest city in Turkey's Black Sea area. Tobacco is the city's most important industry. Samsun's landmark, in addition to the monument depicting the landing of troops in the port, is a statue of Mustafa Kemal in the city centre. Older attractions include Pazar Camii, a mosque from the 1400s.
